Who I am

The commission

I’m the chair of the City of Austin Technology Commission and a digital equity advocate in Austin. I advise the City Council on emerging technology, telecommunications, broadband, and who gets to use them.

At Apple

I practice change management at Apple. More than a decade at a Big 4 firm taught me how large institutions actually change, through the people who have to carry it.

The focus

I work on change inside large organizations, how the city adopts artificial intelligence and builds AI literacy, sustainable infrastructure, and closing the digital divide.

I also serve on the board of AustinFree.net, which provides free high-speed internet and digital literacy training.

Community-led AI governance

I supported resident-led work on transparent and ethical use of AI by the city.

I work with city officials on programs that expand internet and device access in Austin.

Sustainable infrastructure

As chair, I led the commission’s recommendations for technology and infrastructure development that is equitable, sustainable, and centered on the community.
